Physics paper back

I got my physics paper back today morning. Extremely disappointed with my results. I got an E grade. It has been really a long time since I get some shit grade like E and certainly im not used to it. Who can I blame for this? I only studied the day before the exam and how the heck am I going to get something like C or even A? I should count myself lucky for not getting U already. Many activities last week, gonna blog them when I got more time. And I just need some time to cool myself down, not just because of the shit mid yrs results, but also other stuff which i dun wish to elaborate.

WILL YOU PLEASE SHUT THE FUCK UP AND LET ME HAVE SOME PEACE?

ECONS

If I can pass my ECONS...
If I can pass my PHYSICS...

................................................

---DREAM ON!

Physics

Yesterday was the physics paper. This was probably the first time that I ever stone in the exam hall in my life. My health wasnt that good recently. I have been coughing since I came back from Hong Kong during the 1st week of the holidays. I was studying econs at PP BK with CO peeps just now in the afternoon and I have a slight stomachache. Its damn bloody irritating when its the exam period and your body fails you at this crucial period of time. I dont think I can concentrate on doing the subsequent papers. I didnt study much either, so I guess I will just hope that I will not fail too badly and get a tea session with the headmaster. Maybe I can do reasonably well in Chemistry...this is the only subject that im feeling okay with so far. I hope that it will help me to neutralise the amount of "S" and "U"s that i will get on my report card. Three months from now will be the PROMOS. I better start studying hard after this horrible mid-yrs or else Im going to stay in school for another couple of years.

Die . Die . Die

Tomorrow is the start of the mid-yrs. All the way till Thursday. I know I'm going to fail all already, at the rate I'm going. Its pathetic. I'm just hoping that I won't fail too badly, at least an S grade (U=die badly). I should be like mugging like crazy yet I'm so looking forward to Thursday after the exams...DIE >.<

13-19th June

13th June. It was friday. I went to Julian's house with Sebastian, Chunyong and Bryan. We played PS2 games like Winning Eleven, Guitar Hero and that stupid fighting game which I think is Naruto if Im not wrong. We went for dinner at a nearby restaurant at around 9pm and I had some samba fried rice which was freaking nice. I couldnt enjoy it to the max because I was having a cough then.
After that we went to Crossfire (a LAN shop near Tanah Merah MRT) to play. We waited for like 1 hour before we get to play because of this shopkeeper who had some attitude problem. The place was dark and was filled with AH BENG style techno music. Haha, I dont feel safe inside there. We played from 12am-4am. We played DotA with some EX-schoolmates who were on Battle.net. Kinda bad as there was a significant delay and the mouse really sucks. As usual, I was talking like an idiot at the LAN shop, semi-commanding the team (not really commanding because I was abit sucky that day). Baba sat next to me, I have to keep shouting at him because he is just plain slow. SLOW. 4am in the morning, we walked to some random coffee shop with a reasonably large plasma TVs to watch the 2nd half of Holland vs. France. Holland was terrific. Bad teamwork from France I believe. I shared some $10 stingray with Bryan and it doesnt taste as good as it looked. Thumbs down!Random shot when everyone was so excited watching the match.
We walked back to Julian's four storey high house. The walk was pretty freaky because we were discussing about Pon....... halfway through the journey (which is like 20mins wth). The roads were damn empty man...we owned the roads HAHA! Yeah, that female thingy who have a red string and likes banana tree??? The hardcore people played PS2 till 9am while I was sleeping after drinking a little vodka. We went home after that as Julian was going to Snow City. Yawnzzz...

15th June.
I went to PC show with Jingkai accompanying me. He didnt plan to get anything and he went there just to accompany me. Thanks alot really. I bought a PC RAM and thumbdrive at a lower cost that you see in Sim Lim Square, for sure. We went to play soccer after that with some friends. Total of 8 people. My foot hurts now because I took out my shoes to play and the skin came off -.-

17th June. I went to Changi Airport Terminal 2 Mac to meet up with my OG mates, namely Desmond, Eunice and Zoe in alphabetical order. We are probably the most active OG in VJC now. I bet many other OGs have stopped meeting up. We sure have alot to talk about and we couldnt really study properly until some had to leave early. Hehe...more outings after mid years k! Oh yah, better force some people like Desmond to organise some event @ chalet.

18th June. I went to play pool at Parkway with some friends. Total of 4 people. I dont mind being a total noob there who kept on missing imba-ly easy balls. The worst thing is that I hurt my right hand as I crushed my right knuckles into the side of the table when I hit the ball. Lost quite alot of blood after that. Blood keep flowing out, luckily it was only some superficial injury and I didnt faint because I saw blood (again).

19th June. I went airport to study with Benedict and Cephia. Terminal 3 was definitely quieter. We keep seeing either DHS or VJC ppl there. Ben calls Coffee Bean...Victoria Bean...
Ben left at 7pm while Cephia and I stayed till 930pm when we finally gave up and went home. I still have alot of topics to READ...not even practising questions yet. E E E E will probably be my target for mid years LOL. Thats equivalent to just passing all the content-based subjects. Pretty pathetic huh? Not to forget to say that this cup of some stupid shit italian coffee @ T3 Tosto cost $5.20.

Going out to study again tomorrow. I think that place Rivervale Mac place is near Sengkang. I hope I can find my way there without any help. Going with CO peeps. I forgot to mention that some people keep complaining to me as they cannot tahan being lightbulbs because of certain PAIRS of people. Yeah, please dont call us out if you are meeting each other. Thats all folks. SAY_GG_PLZ

Bored to death

I just finished watching Germany vs. Croatia with my dad in front of the computer -.- The first half was really bored. Germany couldnt break their opponent's defense with their super uncoordinated attacks. Croatia played very carefully and kept holding on to the ball, passing back to its own half etc, finding loopholes in the German defence. 1-0 and the first half was over. I didnt catch much of the 2nd half because TVants (the application i use to watch the matches) kind of screwed up a little.

I was talking on msn instead of focusing on the match. Well I was talking to my junior who is currently in MSHSCO. He said he went for TJCCO DSA audition and also going for VJCCO & RJCCO sometime later. I told him not to go RJCCO because the conductor is our secondary school CO conductor who I kinda dislike and think that he sucks. Hahaha. I asked him whether he called up VJCCO. He replied that it was the other way round. I wonder how VJCCO got his contact...

Anyway I hope that he can come VJCCO next year and play the ruan. We seriously need quite alot of new members for the SYF next year.

During the class BBQ on tuesday, Mr Ng, our Chemistry tutor asked some us what we want to be next time. Standing next to me was Jianwei whose reply was "dont know leh". Well, my answer to this question is also a "dont know" and this is not the first time Im running away from the truth. I just couldnt make up my mind or just dont know what to do. There are too many things to do out there. Last time I used to thought that I will know what I want to be next time but as time goes by things remained the same.

Sometimes our family can be quite an influence in the decision we make. My parents aint really supportive of me learning my Chinese instrument, the ruan. I had thought of learning the instrument from a professional a few years ago but it didnt happen. They were afraid that it will affect my studies. Now Im already 16 1/2 and feel like to learn from a professional again. But it was a little too late as most people start from their young. The worry for poor academic result is not the only factor that hindered me that, but also due to financial problems. More than 5 years ago, my father was forced to leave the factory as the boss of the factory had died and no one is taking over it. Moreover, the land that the factory sitting on is going to be taken away by the government. As a result, he lost the steady monthly income he used to have.

His age is also a problem. He is getting old now. Not many people want to hire people above 50s nowadays. He doing some odd jobs now, earning some little wages. I can see that he is trying his best to earn money for the family. Occasionally, he works overtime and reaches home at around 10pm. He then wakes up at 630am the next morning to go for work again. Sometimes I feel really bad for spending too much money. I could have been more disciplined and saved the money up. I had some work experiences before and I know it is not easy to earn money in the outside world.

Im also quite disappointed with my 2nd elder sister as she is staying with us under one roof and using the house resources yet not contributing to our net household income. I can understand that she just started working for only one and a half years and have her own financial problems but I cant see her even trying to help.

Anyway, ruan lessons with professionals are around $50-$100 per 45min or 1 hr depending on the grade you are taking and your teacher. I guess I will take playing ruan as a side interest since I wont be learning it from a teacher. Many of the people I know doesnt know how to appreciate chinese music and it is really sad. The first thing that comes to their mind when you mention Chinese Orchestra is those CNY songs or some ding ding dong dong songs with no depth. CO songs also got FEEL de ok! I felt a little better when I received some positive comments from my friends who came to support the concert. Well, chinese music isnt as boring as you think!

SLV and Class BBQ

Two days ago (Tuesday) was a full day of activities. Firstly, I took the MRT all the way to Marsiling from Kallang. As I was late, Ms Cai, my CT suggested me to take a taxi from the MRT station to Metta Home (A home for the intellectually disabled). The taxi uncle wasnt too sure about where was the place but luckily I used the bus that we would be taking to the zoo as an indication. Well, I got laughed at for running like a clown from the taxi to the bus. It doesnt really matter since I managed to catch up on time if not the bus would had left without me.

A
t the zoo, every two classmates are to partner someone (from Metta Home). I was with Patrick, the guitar guy. We were trying to find our partner while the people from Metta Home were sitting on benches. In the end, we exchanged partner with my classmates because theres someone who came to hold my hand and I cant bear to let go. She looks like she is in her 50s from her wrinkles on her face. She is quite dark and a pretty quiet person. I had a little difficulty communicating with her as I do not know what language she speaks.

T
he people from Metta Home are grown ups (18-60 probably) but their mind arent that developed. They speak and cheer just like any children you can probably find in the playground. I felt a little sad for them as it is really a pity that people are borned with deficits like this. The person-in-charge of the Metta Home also mentioned that we are not allowed to take photos with them as it is to protect their privacy as requested from their parents. I really cant imagine how old are their parents. Out of the 13 people from Metta Home who went out with us, I guess there is already 6-7 people whose age is above 50. Their parents could be in their 70s already, and they still need to worry for their children. How fortunate are we? Sometimes we do not get what we want but we are still much more fortunate than these people out there.

A
lright, back to my partner. We were holding hands as if we are a couple (or maybe a father and a daughter), swinging a little here and there at times. I was quite sad in the beginning when she doesnt reply to me. But as we walked around the zoo, she gradually started to respond more, starting with small actions such as nodding her head. Actually, she can be my grandmother already. Seeing her in this state makes me feel very worried for my mother in the future. I wonder how long can she live...and about her health. We explored the zoo for around two hours and were really tired. One hilarious thing that happened was that an Orang Utan on a tree wanted a packet of tidbits that one of my classmates, Jason was holding on to. It raised out its hand and give the "come give me that thing" look. It was staring at Jason for around one minute and Jason got a little bit nervous as he was worried that the Orang Utan might come after him when he walk away.

T
he SLV was very successful and Im sure that there are many unsung heroes(dont know if I used this correctly) who helped out in the planning and preparation of the SLV, directly or indirectly. Thanks to Jianwei, the event coordinator, and the classmates who helped to wash the cars for the fund raising event, the people who stayed up really late to plan for the games which we didnt play in the end. I felt a little bit guilty for not helping out much. I really wanted to help to wash the cars that afternoon on the last day of the term but there is a compulsory practice for CO members going for the Hong Kong trip.

A
fter the SLV, we took the bus back to VJC. I met Elroy in the canteen and he was studying with his friends. Some of my classmates went to Parkway Parade to buy the BBQ stuffs and some stayed in school for a while and then walked to BBQ Pit 48 together. At East Coast Park, some of the guys, including me, played soccer. Nothing special, just some passing with our slippers or sandals. After a while, Mr Jeffrey Ng, our Chemistry tutor came to join us! Miss Felicia Tan, our Econs tutor arrived shortly after. We made cards and little notes for the both of them as they are going to leave us and go for further studies. Weizhen did a great job printing out the nice photos and designing the book for them. Miss Cai, our CT also joined us in the BBQ.

We had fun eating, drinking (some soft drinks & alcohol oops) and playing games together as a class. It was really a long time since we had this kind of gathering. I really hope we can have more of such outings when we have the time. Met Shaun, our PAE classmate too. I guess he was a little bit bored as he was the only PAE classmate who turned up. Vidhu went USA for holidays while Weehoe was sick. I managed to spoke to him and was suprised that he joined the guitar ensemble in ACJC.

Strong wind at ECP at around 10:30PM! Everything was getting blown away and we thought theres gonna be a tsunami coming. Here is a picture that we took when the wind is super strong (:

We packed everything up and started walking to the bus stop. It started to rain after we left the BBQ pit shortly. It was kinda funny to see the guys running even faster than the girls! Well, I shared my small umbrella with Shaun and we definitely got pretty much drenched by the time we reached the bus stop. Farewell to him when my bus arrived, not sure when we will meet again. Well, I am the kind of person who gets easily affected by emotions. He said "take care" before I went on the bus. These little things actually affects me and I will take them to heart.

I brought home the leftovers, which is like 20+ marinated chicken wings and stingrays. I stayed up late to watch EURO 2008 (again) on the internet. Exciting match between Spain and Russia, Spain was really impressive and I love their passes.

Yesterday, I got reprimanded by my mother for frying the chicken wings. I was made to clean the floor and some other stuffs. I did a good job I guess, she wasnt angry with me anymore and bought me some milk to drink.

Im watching Portugal vs. Czech Republic now! Its 2-1 now with Portugal leading with one goal! Im going off now. Bye!

Staying up late.

Have been staying up late these few days. Hais. Very bad. Here's a video of the Zhongruan concerto that I'm crazy about.

She rocks but too bad doesn't blend with the orchestra :(
& the conductor's hair style is ... ... HAHAHAHAHA!

SHIT

Okay SHIT, IM DEAD. I put a new string back and started playing again LOL.

I BROKE MY ZR 1ST STRING

WOOHOO! I just broke my Zhongruan 1st string today morning at 11.41AM. Maybe its time to stop playing Zhongruan and start mugging whole day long. And also watch EURO 2008 at night lah HAHAHA.

My fingers!!!

Okay. I think I need to spend less time on Zhongruan and more time on my studies now. Im like practising the whole day today. REASON for this ---> see below

Okay. These are the 3 pages out of 13 that I have transposed (not changing the key but transforming the 五线谱 into 简谱). Take me hell loads of time as this is my first my transposing. Other than that i also tried playing it. 160 beats per minute is the actual speed ahha.

Okay. This is the part that made my fingers bloody. Some random 十六分音符 at 160BPM... I started practising it at 60BPM though. Now probably can reach 100BPM. I think the 1st string is going to break soon. Cos I pressed too hard and too many times haha. Oh yeah, Im gonna own up something here. I played my 2nd sister's guitar and 3rd sister's flute without asking for permission LOL. Euro Cup coming up!!! bb!

CO HongKong Trip, CO Chalet

Well, as from the title itself, you can predict that I was with VJCO for the past 2 weeks. Starting from 25th May, when I first went HongKong with the orchestra. It was also my first time taking a plane (: It was a bit scary when the plane is taking off haha. My ears keep getting jammed whenever the plane goes up or down. Ahh...I returned the reflections booklet to my group leader so I cant really remember the name of the places I went, so I'll be using more pictures than words haha.

Day 1

Had a meal right after arriving in Hongkong. Went on to some "community club" to watch a free performance by some random 10-person orchestra. People inside not that random though, some from HKCO. Almost fell asleep but I didnt. I was somehow moved by their serious attitude towards such a "casual atmosphere", and of course their music. 10 people, they play as if there were 30 of us. Impressive! Went to some shopping centre to shop after watching the performance. Dint spend any money (as usual). Dinner after shopping. Had corn soup AGAIN. Went back to hotel after the 'corn' meal.

Damn...I'm too lazy to do a Day 2,3,4 & 5 now and I'm just gonna spam what i can now.
Met with some minor traffic accidents for 2 consecutive days. The HK police are damn efficient. The accident happened for only like 1min and we were still recovering from the shock, the traffic police were already there. Look at the police on the left, he must be super stressful hahaha.

Oh, just remembered about the bus ride to Lantau Island. Super bumpy...plus the bus keep going left and right, up and down! VJCO play cards everywhere haha, in hotel, on buses. Call it Bridge-mania or Bridge-frenzy or whatever. Oh still rmb some people use my lap as pillow to sleep on during the long bus rides. Haha. Luckily my legs are strong enough! About the food we had in HongKong...actually its quite good...just that all the restaurant serves the same food...ESPECIALLY the IMFAMOUS corn soup! HAHAHA! Almost vomited by the 3rd time we had it AGAIN. Well, probably my first time spending so much money on my own without the presence of my parent. Shopping is quite addictive, esp. when you have money in your wallet and no one is stopping you. Haha, now I can understand why people use credit card till bankrupt >.<"

The last time I went to a theme park was when I was Primary 6, after the PSLE. Well it was ESCAPE theme park then. This time in HK was OCEAN PARK! Took cable car up the hill...the scenery was great! Some people was pretty afraid when the cable car was ascending. LOL. I was glad that I went for every ride that my friends took HAHAHA. I didnt chicken out! Initially I was feeling slightly insecure (ROFL?) cos I havent been playing these exciting rides for 5 years! But I got the hang of it after a while and was yearning for even more but time doesnt allow ):

On the whole, I have learnt not only more about music and have fun, but also bond with the orchestra members. Got to talk to people that I didnt get to talk to before, eg. YanZhou, who looks so innocent and guai. Haha, he can be playful too! Now I feel more bonded to the orchestra (: at the beginning of the year i was super out larh =( The trip also allows me to relax myself from all the stress in school....hais Mid years coming right after the June holidays...and also re-think about some things. Well, the 5 days was enough for me to think and I've know myself better (:

CO Chalet (2nd-4th June)
Still in the playing mood! Unfortunately i wasnt enjoying as much as I wanted cos I was kinda sick after the HK trip. I had a mild fever and sore throat a few days before the chalet. The fever subsided but the sore throat got worse ): i still eat BBQ stuff and cold drinks hahah which made it even worse. I was coughing like mad after the chalet...getting slightly better now but still feeling quite bad. Feel really bad for pangsehing my PW group. That day we were suppose to meet in school at 1pm on the 2nd day of the chalet but I was quite sick so I stayed in the chalet and slept throughout the afternoon and forgot about the time. Really sorry!!! I'll give you all the chocolates that I've bought in HK(one box only haha).

Oh I didnt forget something. If you happen to see this...Take care Lijun! Hope your eye is recovering fast and not painful anymore! You still owe me my Zhongruan box and pick! and pls lend me notes i need to copy them hahah, cos I ponned some lectures and tutorials during the last week of school. J1s all the best for your(and my) Mid-yrs! J2s all the best for your CT2! SEE YA!
